For myself, graphic design grew out of another creative avenue I pursued as a young teenager. I started the band Formerly Blind with my brother and best friends and when we needed a cd design or a poster, we simply learned how to do it ourselves. And from that simple beginning, graphic design grew into my life’s passion. I attended Kentucky Wesleyan College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems in 2005. During that time, I honed my skills working as the Website Developer for the City of Owensboro and then moved to a web design company as a Web Designer.
Today, I am the Art Director for Team IP, the nation’s largest amateur sports merchandiser. Our clients range from USA Olympic governing bodies to high school athletic associations and everything in between. For the last 5+ years my primary role has been to oversee our artwork production for thousands of pieces of artwork for event apparel by managing a staff of three designers and multiple freelancers from my remote office in Kentucky. Over the years my role has expanded to branding, website development and print design. While working at Team IP, I continued working as a freelance designer, a role I have maintained since high school. I have dozens of clients I provide web, UI, print and photography services for.
I am married to my college sweetheart, Natalie Tanner & we have two children. Our daughter, Ella Grace, has a special story that we feel shows God’s power in an amazing way. I still enjoy making music, playing drums and writing songs. I also enjoy running, cycling and competing in triathlons.
Thanks for stopping by.
